Project Overview Sewer System Improvements

This project consists of replacing the existing fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) weirs and baffles as well as the existing painted steel skimmer arms on Clarifiers 1 and 2 at the H.C. Morgan WPCF. The project will involve replacing the existing FRP weirs and baffles with stainless steel weirs and baffles that are not subjected to warping or corrosion.

The project has a total capital budget of $1,600,000.00 and is anticipated to finish by Oct 31, 2024.

Please note that project completion dates are subject to change based on weather and other conditions. Project anticipated finish dates may not coincide with actual day of opening.

The contract was awarded to Schmidt Environmental Construction by City Council on October 3, 2023. The contractor began work in clarifier No. 1 the week of 8/12/2024, and has completed demolition work and has installed new weirs and baffles. Work in clarifier No. 1 is scheduled to be completed in October 2024.​
